We get this question a lot and it all depends on the individual. Yet in our opinion, you do not get a faster more capable aircraft by buying new. You simply trade creature comforts and some minor improvements in avionics for a higher price tag. Now with the Pilatus PC12 Pro, one actually gets the Garmin Avionics, joined with other improvements that are very likely worth the increased cost. As Garmin has a much more desired avionics suite than Honeywell. Both get the job done and are very capable, yet pilot preference will likely always be Garmin.

This is a very loaded question, as it depends on year, type of operation, how many hours you’re operating per year and where the aircraft is at in its maintenance cycle. In our experience, what we can say without locking us in with a single cost figure. Is the Pilatus PC-12 is one of the most efficient aircraft to maintain, yet all aircraft must be maintained and all aircraft have mechanical issues to be resolved. Knowing how to do this correctly at a reasonable cost is where experience comes into play.
